Understanding the Dangers of Invokana
As mentioned above, Invokana is a drug used to treat type 2 diabetes. Its only ingredient is canagliflozin. It decreases glucose levels in the blood by increasing the amount of glucose lost in the urine, and it prevents glucose from being reabsorbed into the bloodstream once it passes through the kidneys. Some symptoms of Invokana result in mild discomfort. These include rashes, dizziness, and yeast infections. However, some side effects are more serious, and may even be fatal.
